The MAG 2-CANGATE 64 field bus module enables the MAG 2 modules to be operated on the CANopen field bus. The address and the transmission rate can easily be set using DIP switches. The CAN-BUS is connected via a 9-pin. SUB-D plug connected to the module, a second 9-pin connected in parallel. SUB-D connector enables the use of inexpensive, pre-assembled fieldbus cables. The integrated terminating resistor for the bus termination can be switched on via a DIP switch. The built-in reverse polarity protection and overload protection protect the module from unintentional damage. The module supplies all connected IO modules with a module bus voltage that is galvanically separated from the field voltage and thus ensures a high level of interference immunity even in harsh industrial environments. The MAG 2-CANGATE cyclically checks the operating status of the connected modules and compares this with the target value. Any deviations or malfunctions can be transmitted to the control immediately via the fieldbus
