The FBI-PC-1 is used to connect the CNC fieldbus system to a compatible ISA PC The processor on the card takes over the control of the CNC field bus. It communicates with the PC via a dual port RAM. The internal intelligence of this card takes over the entire control of the CNC field bus, provides the pre-processed data to the PC processor and independently processes jobs that come from the PC.
The PC is thus relieved of all elementary fieldbus operations.
In addition to the CNC fieldbus interface, two serial interfaces are also available.
